    Just wanted to say that I’m enjoying the discussion – am looking forward to reading Ticknor, and my copy of Television arrived in the mail today, so off we go…

    Hey thanks, Condalmo. We really had a good crop of books this time, and Ticknor and Toussaint were both faves of mine. Why the short novel never became as popular in the US as it has in France, I don’t know. There was a brief period in the 70s, but nothing really since. Amazing, really.
