by Carl Seelig

“How terrible to become caught up in the great machinery of the world’s expectations, simply because we have not exercised the right to have a personality!”

What a find ! I’ve been “googling” the incomparable Walser for years now for the least titbit of news. Then a week or two ago, I came across this site and the great and admirable task that you have set yourselves, also the news that Susan Bernofsky is writing a biography. It’s such a shame that so few in the English speaking world regard Walser with his due regard, (excepting a few like Whalen, Middleton, Bernofsky and your good selves). Keep up the good work, I’ll be following this journey with interest. Shall you be keeping us informed of other information Walserian, (like dates for SBs bio.)?.

  2. [...] Dan and James have pointed out that this would be a great page to post Walser-related news. So that’s what we’ll try to do. [...]
